Kathryn is the first Miss Twin Cities in the organization's history to share the title with her sister. Kari (Knuttila) Heisler was Miss Twin Cities 2001.

About the Pageant


Miss Twin Cities is an open local pageant held in conjunction with Miss Capital City. Contestants must live, work, or attend school in the state of Minnesota to be eligible for either title.

Contestant Orientation will take place on Sunday, September 19th, at 1:00pm in the Fireside Room at the Wellstone Center.


Interesting Notes: 10 Miss Twin Cities have gone on to become Miss Minnesota in 18 years of existence. Lauren Green (1984) was 3rd runner up to Miss America 1985 and a talent preliminary winner; Nicole Swanson (2006) won a Non-Finalist Talent award at Miss America 2007; Brooke Kilgarriff (2009) won a Non-Finalist Talent award and was a Quality of Life Finalist at Miss America 2010; and Kathryn Knuttila (2010) is the reigning Miss Minnesota!
