About Miss North Metro's Platform:
My platform is “Revolutionizing Beauty, Beginning with the Media” and my mission is to redefine the way we as a society view beauty. It is time we begin to recognize and promote that beauty comes in many different sizes, shapes, ages and ethnicities but most importantly, real beauty lies on the inside. It is my dream to one day see a broader definition of beauty promoted not only amongst one another but also within the media. With the media having such a large impact on many of our lives, I believe changing the way beauty is portrayed in the media will play a large factor in fueling the beauty revolution. Locally, we can work towards the revolution by building self-esteem within ourselves and others. Building positive self-esteem is the first step in recognizing and celebrating the unique beauty that lies within each of us. My year as Miss North Metro has been spent conducting Uniquely Me! self-esteem workshops in an effort to build confidence and self-esteem in girls across the state. I believe confidence is key when working towards both personal and professional success in life. It is time for females everywhere to recognize, that real beauty and confidence is in fact, with in their reach.
