Stacy Elizabeth Mandelkow is currently a sophomore at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. Her major is Business Administration with a Human Resource Management emphasis and a minor in Aerospace Studies. Besides being a student, Stacy is also an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadet, working her way toward receiving a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.
Throughout Stacy's life, her family has been greatly affected by cancer. It is for this reason that she chose her platform, "Combating Cancer; Mind, Body, and Spirit." After spending many hours in hospitals and nursing homes, Stacy realized that there were many cancer patients without the support they truly needed and deserved.
When she saw the need that was in place, Stacy stepped up. Throughout the year, she plans to motivate community members to volunteer at their local hospital, ultimately giving each patient the kind of attention they need. This will not only raise the spirits of the patients but help the families that are affected by this disastrous disease as well. She also plans to educate the community on how to live a healthy lifestyle and prevent a diagnosis. By combating cancer full circle, Stacy believes we will one day find a cure!

The Miss Coon Rapids Scholarship Program is proud to be home to three Miss
Minnesotas since our inauguration in 1965:

The Miss Coon Rapids Pageant began as a community service project of the Coon
Rapids Jaycees, it has always been a part of the Coon Rapids Snowflake Days
celebration.
The Miss Coon Rapids Scholarship Pageant was incorporated in 1986. We have
always had a strong program thanks to our dedicated volunteers, many who have
been with our program for over 20 years! We have many new volunteers with our
program this year who are very excited to produce the best Miss Coon Rapids
Scholarship program ever!!
